BAR31TEAM are Western Australia Wild West Winners
We've had a heck of a start to our season back in Australia. Despite a flat right rear tire with two laps remaining at the Late Model nationals, the BAR31TEAM secured the Wild West points championship thanks to wins at the Perth Motorplex on Boxing Day, Albany and Bunbury.
Kye said, "We've had a solid car all year. The guys and I have been working hard to continue to improve, and I have really enjoyed the busy December/January period we have here in Western Australia."
The Late Model Nationals started out nearly perfect for the BAR31TEAM, qualifying fast time in their group, winning 3 heat races, and leading the field to the green for the feature race. "We ran a 1350 compound on the RR and I couldn't make it last. But I'm not hanging my head. We had a great little series and I'm pretty chuffed with winning the points deal. Congratulations to Rod (Musarra), Joe (Chalmers), and Waz (Warren Oldfield) for their podiums. They did a really good job."
